Ritual Hot Yoga

@RitualYoga

Ritual Hot Yoga is not your average hot yoga experience. The beat is crucial to the class and there is upbeat music playing during the entire 50-minute session. Breathing to the beat is the philosophy and the goal is get lost in the “dance between the body and the breath”.   All classes are candle-lit and heated to 98 degrees. Ritual teaches more than just breath and poses. You are invited to explore the part of the yoga practice that transcends the physical.

Run and lift in one intense class. Barry’s is the original high-intensity work out that burns up to 1,000 calories in one class, tones muscle, maximizes fat loss, and increase your metabolism, so you actually burn calories even after class is over. Each class is different. You will never have the same routine — and never get bored. Barry’s Original class is a mix of running and weights. There is also a Double Floor class – a no treadmill option for the days that you can’t run.

The Space Between is a yoga experience designed to get you out of your head and into your soul. The mission is for you to leave feeling more alive than when you came in. I think the most important part of Yoga practice is the balance you find in your mind. The Space Between is a great place to help recenter yourself and feel invigorated.

For those on the West side check out Mirepoix Studio in Wicker Park. The word Mirepoix is a sautéed mixture of diced vegetables, such as carrots, celery, and onions, used especially as a base for soups and stews. The Base of this workout experience is three parts: movement, meditation, and nourishment. The philosophy is moving to strengthen, not burn; meditating to process, not clear; and nourishing to fuel, not lose.
