Seven Studios for 2019
Seven Studios for 2019
I love a good studio class and a niche boutique class, but they can be so intimidating to navigate. There are so many amazing options in the Chicago area, it gets even more overwhelming. Ready to explore the city?
This list highlights the River North Area, convenient for most who work in the Loop before and after work.
Soul Cycle is why I justify what I spend on workouts. This amazing experience completely changed the way I approached fitness. SoulCycle is a 45-minute indoor cycling class that features high-intensity cardio, muscle-sculpting strength training, and rhythm-based choreography. But it’s so much more than just a workout — it’s a powerful mind-body experience. I am in love with these classes and there are three city locations.

Studio Three’s yoga studio offers a variety of vinyasa yoga & specialized strength-training classes developed for students seeking to improve mobility and flexibility. They offer quarterly fitness challenges and monthly workshops to keep you committed and growing in your practice. Studio Three is the studio I frequent and absolutely love the instructors and classes. This is a favorite of mine and I recommend to all.

The Space Between is a yoga experience designed to get you out of your head and into your soul. The mission is for you to leave feeling more alive than when you came in. I think the most important part of Yoga practice is the balance you find in your mind. The Space Between is a great place to help recenter yourself and feel invigorated.
Location: 222 W Hubbard Street, Lower Level, Chicago Il 60654
Sweat Fitness is a great circuit training workout. If you want high impact and high intensity, this is a must. This workout combines HIIT with innovative strength training. Some people can not turn off their minds as easily and need more intense workouts to help relax. Sound like you?
They also have a Sweat-On-Demand streaming service in case you are traveling but need to get that sweat in.

Mirepoix Studio in Wicker Park
I don’t get to Wicker Park nearly enough, but for those on the West side check out Mirepoix Studio. The word Mirepoix is a sautéed mixture of diced vegetables, such as carrots, celery, and onions, used especially as a base for soups and stews. The Base of this workout experience is three parts: movement, meditation, and nourishment. The philosophy is moving to strengthen, not burn; meditating to process, not clear; and nourishing to fuel, not lose.
