Times & Locations:
Most of the services will be held at in the Social Hall of St. Joseph the Worker Church, directly across the street from the synagogue, and the rest will be held at the synagogue. If you are attending in-person, your badge (which serves as your ticket) will be waiting for you at St. Joseph.
If you are not able to attend in-person, or not comfortable doing so, we are offering a virtual livestream option through Zoom. Before the holidays, all guests will be sent a Zoom link. We ask that you please not share this Zoom link with non-members who haven’t registered.
Children’s Programming
On Rosh Hashanah Day 1 and on Yom Kippur, we will have Family Services from 2:00-3:00 pm, led by our Director for Lifelong Learning, Lauren Comm, at the synagogue. These services, offered at no cost and open to the larger community, are designed for children up through 4th grade and their families (older siblings welcome), and offer a lovely way to celebrate the holidays! Please click here to sign up separately for the Family Services!
Of course, children are also welcome to attend the adult services on both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. We will offer complimentary childcare on one side of the sanctuary, where children can read, draw, and play quietly with busy bags and enjoy the melodies of the holidays.
Prayerbooks
Shir Hadash uses the Reconstructionist High Holiday Mahzor. If you are attending services at St. Joseph the Worker, we will have books available to borrow. If you need a book to use at home or if you would like your own copy, you may purchase below. We can mail them (including mailing charge), or you can pick them up at the synagogue prior to Thursday, September 26 or at St. Joseph the Worker the day of services. Note that mailing can take over a week.
