This session looks at the amazing actresses and stand-up comedians who emerged during the post-WWII era, as television became an integral part of American life. We will explore some fascinating, powerful women who were on the comedy scene from Hollywood to New York’s renowned “Borscht Belt.” Lucille Ball, Gracie Allen, Totie Fields and Jackie “Moms” Mabley are just a few of the women whose contributions will be highlighted.
