Creating a Jewish Life Together: A New Series for Couples
December 17, 2018 @ 9:00 PM - December 31, 2018 @ 9:00 PM
Silverstein Base Hillel and Honeymoon Israel are teaming up with some local rabbis to offer a 4 part series for couples seeking community and support as they make decisions about their lives!
This program is run by SIlverstein Base Hillel in conjunction with Honeymoon Israel with support from clergy from the following communities: Anshe Emet, Temple Sholom, Mishkan Chicago, Chicago Sinai Congregation and Rodfei Zedek.
Who is it for?
This series is a completely inclusive program—we welcome Jewish/Jewish, interfaith and LGBTQ couples. To participate, couples must be in their first 5 years of marriage or a committed relationship, not have children yet, and both partners must be under the age of 40.
When and where does it meet?
We will place you and your partner in a cohort with 6 to 8 other couples and then make the schedule based on the availability you indicate in your registration. Our first cohorts will begin mid January and we will start new cohorts as people register on an ongoing basis. There will be one shabbat dinner and three weeknight/Sunday sessions in every cohort plus optional additional gatherings where participants from all cohorts will be invited to gather. Two sessions will meet at the homes of the Base Hillel rabbis and the other two will be held at participants homes.
Please register by January 1st to guarantee placement in a winter cohort.
How much does it cost?
$36 a couple which includes two dinners and snacks for the additional sessions. You will be directed to a payment page after you complete registration.
