Jewish Mindfulness Sits Weekly (Friday Mornings)

Join Orot for a weekly mindfulness meditation sit and text study exploring “The Sabbath” by Abraham Joshua Heschel and preparing ourselves for Shabbat. This wellness series is led by rotation of educators by Orot educators.
Every week as we enter into Shabbat, we have the opportunity to cultivate a Shabbat consciousness. The cultivation of a Shabbat consciousness of gratitude and kindness is integral so that we can face the world and respond with a wise heart of generosity and forgiveness.
Throughout these sessions, we will be using the text “The Sabbath ” by Abraham Joshua Heschel to frame each meditation sit. This is a weekly opportunity to prepare for Shabbat intentionally every Friday morning at 8:30am . We will explore how Torah, prayer, and meditation can help us enter into Shabbat with the mindfulness consciousness of:
“Hineni. Here I am.”
