Join the Chicago Workers Circle for a walking tour around the grounds of the historic Julia C. Lathrop Homes public housing site, with architectural historian Elsa Haarstad!

This family-friendly tour will wind through the beautiful grounds of this former Chicago Housing Authority site along the river and include discussions about the history of public and affordable housing in the country. Participants will explore key housing and architecture terms and learn about the history of how we have attempted to provide housing in this country.
