Registration Open: So You Want To…Explore Filmmaking

January 27 - February 3

Did you know you have a portable movie studio in your pocket? You don’t need a big budget to create a professional or just-for-fun film, just an idea and your phone or tablet. Whether you’re an aspiring filmmaker or just a movie enthusiast, this class series will teach you how to bring your stories and experiences to life through mobile filmmaking. Watch and discuss classic movie scenes, learn how to write and tell more compelling stories, and discover how to override the automatic settings on your phone or tablet to create more impactful and professional videos in an array of genres.

Join award-winning filmmaker and content creator Joe Frankel for a 6-week crash course in movie storytelling. There is no prior experience required. Sign up to simply follow along or bring your passion to life with optional exercises that will lead you through writing, producing and editing your own short film with Joe as your industry mentor. Spaces limited.

Presented by the Edlavitch DCJCC and EntryPointDC, the 20s and 30s program of the DCJCC
