Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with Beth Emet – The Free Synagogue

October 4

$250

Starting with the beautiful evening of S’lichot, culminating in the final shofar blast of Yom Kippur, adding Sach on top of our Sukkah, and dancing to commemorate starting from the beginning of reading from the Torah. The High Holy Days at Beth Emet are a heartwarming way to usher in the new year (5785) as a united community.

We will be joined by Rabbi Sara Blumenthal, who will help co-lead services this year.

Rosh Hashanah begins on the evening of Wednesday, October 2nd. Join us for an inspiring start to the new year!

We extend an invitation to the larger community to worship with us, and while we do not charge $250 per ticket for non-members as we did pre-pandemic, we do provide the opportunity for all our guests to access the High Holy Days with a suggested donation. Please consider a donation as your way in which to support the community and help us cover the expenses that we incur to provide worship services and programs. Please note that your contribution will be applied towards a first year introductory membership, should you choose to join. Our goal this year is to raise $50,000 which will allow us to continue to offer hybrid technology and ensure that our holiday participation is meaningful, secure, and beautiful. We can make this possible through your generous support which allows us to open and expand our home to those such as yourself who wish to be a part of our community.

During the High Holy Days (except the Chavurah and family services) we use the machzor (prayerbook), Mishkan HaNefesh for the Traditional Morning Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services, Kol Nidre, the Concluding Yom Kippur Afternoon service and Second Day Rosh Hashanah services.

Each set (one book for each holiday) is $60, and can be picked up when you arrive for worship services or will be available in the office.  If you are unable to pick them up, please indicate that you wish to have them delivered.
