The Inheritance Theater Project team is turning to the language of the First Amendment to spark conversations among Chicagoans to better understand the complex history of this city and the multiplicity of stories that exist among its neighbors. Join us for breakfast Sunday morning to examine this inherited civic text and become part of a city-wide creative process!
Inheritance Theater Project (ITP) creates art in and with communities to build relationships across divides. Our process invites community members to co-create original theater alongside national and local artists. From Fall 2024 to Spring 2025 we are focusing on strengthening relationships between siloed communities on the South and West Sides of Chicago.
