Virtual Program | Building Resilience Through Art: How Engaging in Creativity Fosters Mental Health

Self-expression through art can help people manage all sorts of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, and general stress. The benefits of engaging in the creation of art include improved memory, stress relief, boosts in self-esteem, and healing. In this session, Bari Fleisher, MFA, a local Chicago artist, art teacher, and art professor will take us on her mental health journey, as she delves into the benefits of the arts on mental health for all. Those attending will participate in hands-on art activities during the session. Please attend this session with some blank paper and writing utensils of any kind. Previous experience creating art is not necessary.
