Ways to Boost Your Immune System

Stress and food quality are much bigger contributors to our immune system health than our genes. The need for quarantine and the many stresses it imposes on our general lifestyle is creating havoc on our stress load and affecting our body’s ability to eat healthfully. Join dietitian, Merle Shapera, as she talks about strategies we can implement to boost our immune system during the pandemic and beyond. She will cover general lifestyle practices that have been demonstrated to have a positive effect on our bodies ability to reduce stress, as well as key components of planning and providing meals and snacks that are high in immune boosting nutrients.
Merle is a Masters’ prepared registered dietitian-nutritionist with extensive experience in helping people with multiple chronic conditions improve their diets and lifestyle to achieve healthier lives. This will be a 45-minute presentation with time for questions and answers during the last 10-15 minutes.
