Where Fun Goes to Live: Melavah Malkah and Party
August 13, 2022 @ 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

We’re celebrating the closing of Shabbat, the end of the summer, and my beginning of going to UChicago to get an MA in Religion, Literature and Visual Culture with a particular focus on Jewish Magical Realism. Live music, Israeli Dancing, L’Chaim’s etc. This event is a Jewish communal effort; many in the community are participating with Ahava and Simcha. Evite is in the link! Look forward to seeing you all there!
Hello Hipsters, Hispstex’s, and Hipstos! Come join me in a rollicking end ‘o Shabbos bash to celebrate me adulting and going to UChicago! Live music, comedy, dancing, fun alcohol-based, and non-alcohol-based energy games, drink-mixing, mystery prizes, piñatas, and excitement galore! Prove that you are both fun and intelligent–and how! Bring some booze, listen to tunes, and make merry! C u there and ensure that the reputation of our most august South-Chicago-based institution is honored ironically! The party will be completely outdoors in the gorgeous backyard adjacent to the family barn.
If bringing food to the Shalosh Shuedos (Third Meal) or for after please ensure that it is not meaty, but is rather dairy-y, or fishy. Feel free to bring people–the more the merrier! Just be sure to double-check that they are vaccinated as everyone who attends must be vaccinated!
