Join us at ASBI for Rosh Hashanah and/or Yom Kippur services! You can choose to attend services either in the Main Sanctuary or in our Social Hall (Hashkama Minyan).
Tickets are required to attend. Please fill out a ticket request form (whether you are an ASBI Member or a Non-Member) to receive tickets. Please note; there will not be assigned seats for any of our services this year. This means that your ticket will provide entry and you are welcome to sit in any available seat during High Holiday services. Some aisle seats will be reserved for those with limited mobility.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1: Erev Yom Kippur
MEN’S MIKVAH HOURS
It is customary for men to go to the mikvah (ritual bath) as a form of symbolic cleansing and elevation before Yom Kippur. Our Adam R. Straus Memorial Mikvah will be open for men to use from 7:45 – 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 1. No appointment is necessary but there is a $25 fee for mikvah use. Men are requested to bring their own towel. Any women who would like to immerse before Yom Kippur are requested to use the regular women’s hours during the weeknights. Women should email [email protected] to make an appointment at least 48 hours in advance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT HIGH HOLIDAY TICKETS

HOW DO I REQUEST TICKETS?
Fill out a ticket request form. There is a different form for Members and Non-Members. For each form there is an online version which you can complete and submit online and a paper version that you can download and submit via email to [email protected], fax to 773-248-5001, or mail or drop off at the shul.
Every ASBI Member is entitled to one ticket per immediate family member living at home (including children who are in college). Individual Memberships include only one adult ticket, in addition to tickets for any children living at home. High Holiday tickets are not included with an associate membership. Please note that you must be in good standing to request tickets. Due to the high volume of ticket requests, you cannot call the office to make a request over the phone—you must submit a paper or online form.
Please be sure to fill out your request form with the proper number of tickets and a name for EACH person for whom you are requesting tickets. If you are a member and are purchasing tickets for guests, please include your guests on your own ticket request form.

WHAT DOES “IN GOOD STANDING” MEAN?
BEFORE you make a ticket request as an ASBI Member, you must be in good standing. This means that at least half of your membership dues have been paid or you have initiated a payment plan and you have no previous outstanding balances. If you need to request an adjusted dues amount, please fill out a Dues Adjustment Form and make at least a partial payment so that you can be in good standing. You can view your current account balance and open invoices by logging into your asbi.org account.

GUEST TICKETS FOR MEMBERS
Members are entitled to purchase tickets for guests at a reduced rate. The cost per guest is $220*. The cost per student guest is $72*. If your guest is attending for only Rosh Hashanah or only Yom Kippur, tickets are half-priced. There is no cost for children under 12. Payment must be received before tickets will be mailed. If your guests are members in good standing at another shul, we are happy to offer them reciprocal High Holiday tickets free of charge. Please have a staff person at their shul email [email protected] confirming that they are members in good standing.
Please be sure to include your guests in the number of tickets you are requesting and include a name for every guest. Guests should be included with your family’s request.

Non-member tickets cost $440 per person, or $72 per person for students. If you are attending for only Rosh Hashanah or only Yom Kippur, tickets are half-priced. If you are unable to pay the standard ticket price and need to request an adjusted rate, there is an option on both the online and paper forms to pay an adjusted amount.
If you are filling out a paper form, you can make a payment by sending a check made out to “ASBI,” or pay with a credit card at asbi.org/donate and select “High Holiday Tickets” from the drop-down menu.

CAN I BRING MY KIDS TO TEFILLAH IN SHUL?
We encourage you to sign up kids age 12 month through 5th grade for our Camp Shana Tova high holiday babysitting and programming. As wonderful and fun as our Camp Shana Tova programming is, the best way for your child(ren) to learn about shul on these special days is by being in shul with you. Therefore, we invite you to plan in advance to bring your child(ren) into services with you for special moments throughout all of the High Holidays. If you have a favorite part of Tefillah, share it with your child by picking them up before and returning them afterwards. This will happen most successfully if you make a plan with your child and familiarize yourself with the schedule of Camp Shana Tova, which will be made available to you in advance.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY TICKETS?
All tickets will be mailed to the address noted on your form. If you would prefer to pick up your tickets from the shul office during office hours, please note so on your form.
If you request tickets within a few days of Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur, your ticket will be available to pick up when you arrive for services. Please let the usher at the door know that you have a ticket ready for you.
