Run/Walk for their Lives-Skokie

History:
A Skokie family started a local chapter of the Run For Their Lives organization in late November 2023 to keep the hostages top of mind until they are all home.
Meeting time and place:
This Sunday, January 14, in addition to our regular programming, we will have a ceremony at 1 pm on Zoom marking 100 days since October 7, the day on which hundreds of people were kidnapped to Gaza. Check back for the link to be posted here:
Also on Sunday at 10 am, for the brave souls who wish to march outside, we will meet at the Holocaust Memorial & Veterans Memorial statue on the Village Green, between the library and Village Hall. The map of our walking path is below.
What we will do:
Take an 18 minute walk and then take a video of us saying “Bring Them Home. Skokie, Illinois.” While the organization is called “Run For Their Lives,” we will start by walking. Eventually, if we get a big enough turnout, we can split into running and walking groups.

We are a local chapter of an organization dedicated to spreading awareness worldwide of the plight of hostages in Gaza.

If you are unable to buy these items, please wear as much red as possible.
What To Bring: Bring pictures of the hostages. Also bring flags of Israel, USA, Denmark, Thailand, Nepal, Tanzania, France, and Mexico. Citizens of all these countries are still held by Hamas as of 12/3/2023.
