Towards Solidarity: An Interfaith Conversation about Allyship and Advocacy

January 18 @ 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Free

Combatting antisemitism is not a Jewish problem, but a human problem that requires non-Jewish allies to both speak out against anti-Jewish hate and speak up in support of the Jewish community. As history has shown, hatred escalates when people who aren’t targeted stay silent. Learn from leaders of different faith communities about how and why they’re fighting antisemitism and standing alongside the Jewish community in solidarity.

Panelists include Dr. Daniel J. Olsen, Director of the Office for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs of the Archdiocese of Chicago; and Pastor Chris Harris of Bright Star C.O.G.I.C. & St. James C.O.G.I.C.

This program is part of the Museum’s “Understanding & Confronting Anti-Jewish Hate” community series.

Community Partners: ADL Midwest; Evelyn R. Green AJC Chicago Regional Office; Sheerit Hapleitah

Supported by Carole Feiger, David P. Brody Charitable Trust, & the Wiznitzer Family.
