Shofar in the Street with Chabad East Lakeview

Chabad East Lakeview is here for every Jew in our community to enable them to celebrate Rosh Hashanah in a safe, enjoyable and meaningful way.

In addition to our service at Chabad with the Shofar blowing during services at 11:15 am (click here for more info about the complete services) Rabbi Dovid and a group of volunteers will be going all around Lakeview to blow the Shofar at various locations.

If you are not able to make it to one of these, we will arrange for a volunteer to blow the Shofar at your home. Email Chabad at: Info@JewishLakeview.com to arrange the time and location.

Please note: The main outdoor shofar service will take place during the Tashlich service on Wednesday, October 2 at 5:15 pm at BoatPark Playground. There will be crafts for kids, apples to dip in honey, children’s performance and more. 

There is no charge for any of these services. Kindly rsvp to help plan

Thursday & Friday, October 3-4:
Please note: all the times below are the same for BOTH days, except for the Tashlich service & Shofar that will ONLY be on Thursday.  

• 11:15 am – at Chabad East Lakeview during services (you can stand in the courtyard or come inside)
• 1:30 pm – Outside Chabad East Lakeview – 615 W Wellington Ave
• 4:00 pm – Wellington & Lakeshore (Across Brookdale)
• 4:45 pm – Corner of Grace & Lincoln (Near Trader Joe’s)
• 5:00 pm – Corner of Lincoln & Marshfield
• 5:00 pm – Sheil Park on Southport
• 5:15 pm – The MAIN Shofar service at Tashlich With short service and kids program – at ‘Boat Park Playground’ by Roscoe & the Lake
• 6:00 pm – Nettelhorst school on Melrose
• 6:00 pm – Gallagher Way (across the street from Hotel Zachary)
• 6:00 pm – Gill Park Corner of Broadway & Sheridan (come to the field)
• 6:20 pm – At Chabad East Lakeview (last Shofar blowing)
