And the award for attending the most bar mitzvah parties goes to…Arianna Rozen! Arianna tells us more about how she loves the simchas and dancing the night away.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Skokie. Growing up I attended Camp Ramah in Wisconsin for many summers and participated in some USY & NCSY events around Chicago, and went to Solomon Schechter Day School and Chicagoland Jewish High School (now known as Rochelle Zell Jewish High School) in Deerfield.  Basically, everything in Chicago you can do Jewish, I’ve been part of at one point or another.

Where do you go to school?

For college I went to Indiana University for two years then transferred to University of Illinois for my last two years. I graduated with a degree in Community Health and Rehabilitation.

What do you Jewish now?

Currently, I do many Jewish events (weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, JCC events, holiday parties, day/overnight jewish camps, etc.) in the Chicagoland area that have brought me a lot of joy being able to celebrate with those in my community. Not to mention every time I shop at Jewel-Osco in Skokie, I’m always running into people from school, camp, etc. and playing Jewish geography.

What do you do for work?

Well, at first I considered pursuing a career in physical therapy but honestly, my heart was not in it. I always knew that I wanted to do events, even at a young age. In middle school when I would go to Mitzvahs, I would always befriend the staff and talk to the dancers more than people in my own grade because I really wanted to be a Bar Mitzvah dancer. Once I started actually working in the industry at 16, I grew so passionate about it. In my head I had always thought about how cool it would be to have my own company. Then when I met my fiance Flo, we started doing our own side hustle, and ultimately we came up with our company Vibe. .

What are you passionate about?

Dance and entertaining! Currently I choreograph at 2 different studios, teach private lessons and workshops, and have started an after school dance program at Solomon Schechter. Teaching and working with kids is something I am very passionate about.

What is your favorite Chicago event?

Anything that involves food. Any food festival that I see over the summer I’m so down to go to. ESPECIALLY Taco Fest. I am a big foodie.

What is your favorite way to spend Shabbat?

At my uncle’s house with a nice bowl of Matzo ball soup and Challah and lots of wine.

How do you unwind?

Snuggling up with my puppy at the end of the day and watching a good show on netflix.

When the Tribe Gathers…They celebrate the simchas.
