Learn all about Cassidy and her awesome new position at BIÂN.

Where are you from?

Traverse City, Michigan.

What did you do Jewish growing up?

Growing up my family would have big celebrations each year for Passover and Hanukkah. These were always great times to come together as a family while also celebrating our heritage.

We were also ALWAYS on the hunt for the best Jewish Deli…a girl needs her bagel and lox!

What do you do for fun?

When I’m not at work you can find me trying out new restaurants, boxing, or walking by Lake Michigan.

Why did you decide to get into Physical Therapy?

I was very active growing up and loved the idea of getting to work with athletic individuals. I always felt that physical therapy would be a rewarding career, because I could help people get back to doing what they love. Since I graduated from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York I have been working in outpatient orthopedics. I love this type of setting because I get to see all different types of injuries. My work day is never the same!

We hear you are on Instagram with helpful PT tips!

I started my PT Instagram account so that I could share helpful tips about how to not only recover from an injury, but how to prevent injuries as well. I started to notice that there are a lot of common injuries that individuals get and that they think they have to live with. This should not be the case. My hope is that my IG page can be a place people refer to when they need help overcoming an ache or pain. There are so many great exercises that can help speed up healing times.

Tell us more about your new role at BIÂN

Currently I work at BIÂN as the lead Physical Therapist. BIÂN is an amazing private club that integrates Eastern and Western healing philosophies. I get to collaborate with a team of chiropractors, personal trainers, and Eastern Medicine providers every day to make sure my clients are receiving the best possible care.

What are your goals for your career!

My current career goals are to keep learning! I LOVE the company that I work for currently and want to make sure I am staying up to date with all of the latest research and treatment techniques. My newest certification is in Myofascial Cupping.
