FINALLY, GOOD NEWS FOR CHICAGO!

ChiTribe is the only Chicago based organization selected to join the first cohort of the UpStart National Entrepreneur Sprint! This is an incredible opportunity for our organizational growth and we are incredibly thankful. ChiTribe is also excited to represent ChiTown in this cohort. As a member of the Sprint, ChiTribe will receive immersive training and wraparound support needed to grow our impact. We are excited to join the other selected organizations who are redesigning the experience and expression of Jewish life! Learn more about our cohort and the program here.

The First Upstart National Entrepreneurship Sprint

The UpStart National Entrepreneur Sprint guides promising startups in developing proof-of-concept—a way of demonstrating that our initiative works and meets a need in Jewish life. Selected from a pool of more than 80 highly-qualified applicants, these early- and growth-stage ventures represent a diverse array of initiatives, including supporting LGBTQ teens in the Orthodox community, using the seder ritual to build interfaith alliances, and facilitating communal conversations through the arts. ChiTribe is honored to be a member of this impressive group. All of these ventures are crucial to the landscape of Jewish offerings. ChiTribe is dedicated to serving as the connection point to Jewish life for individuals seeking alternatives to more traditional institutions.

The Program

CHITRIBE ANNOUNCING COHORT 12 OF UPSTART’S VENTURE ACCELERATOR AND FIRST-EVER SPRINTS

The Entrepreneur Sprint is focused on early-stage startups, providing immersive training with wraparound support, so leaders can test and iterate on their new initiatives. For the first time ever, Upstart is running a National Sprint and a dedicated New York Entrepreneur Sprint in collaboration with UJA-Federation of New York. UJA-Federation has partnered with UpStart to support seven of the most promising early-stage ventures in the New York area as they build a vibrant local community in the region.

COVID UPSTART RELIEF FUNDING

We are also beyond grateful to announce that as part of the selected ventures, we will also benefit from the urgent COVID-19 crisis resiliency training and resources offered to UpStart’s broader Venture Network. Learn more about this training, as well as UpStart’s Jewish Innovator Payroll Relief Fundhere.

On the other side of the financial crisis, we know that people will be craving connection and community – the very spaces and initiatives that these ventures have been creating for so long. The agility, creativity, innovative spirit, and optimism of these ventures is exactly what the Jewish community needs to ensure the progress we’ve made in the Jewish entrepreneurial space over the last twenty years doesn’t disappear overnight.
