Trauma from domestic abuse impacts more than the person being abused; it ripples across family, friends, neighbors and communities.
Susan Malman Altman suspected foul play when her sister, Stacy Malman Feldman, died suddenly and mysteriously. She tirelessly campaigned for a thorough investigation into Stacy’s death. Seven years later, in 2022, Stacy’s husband was convicted of first-degree murder and received a life sentence without parole.
Despite the toll it has taken on Susan and others close to Stacy, Susan has channeled her pain into a powerful mission. Her story was featured on Dateline NBC, and she now uses her experience to raise awareness about abuse within the Jewish community and shed light on the lasting trauma it can cause. Joining Susan will be friend and trusted advisor to the family, Rabbi Joseph Black, and long-time friend, Jan Goldenberg.
