LGBTQIA+ Lake County Meet & Greet @ Or Shalom

All LGBTQIA+-identifying adults are invited to Congregation Or Shalom in Vernon Hills for a special Shabbat Meet & Greet hosted by Jen and Emily Daniels-Lake. Come meet other queer Jews in Lake County and get in the Shabbat spirit with Or Shalom. All are welcome to stay for the Pride-themed Shabbat service afterwards starting at 7PM with a special Pride oneg following.
Jen (she/they) and Emily (they/them) moved to Vernon Hills about 8 years ago from Rogers Park to have more space for their organic farming business. Now fully suburbanites with two kids and two dogs and a minivan, they hope to contribute to building a vibrant and connected community of queer Jews in the northwest suburbs. Come meet them and make some new friends while enjoying some delicious treats and easing into an exciting summertime Shabbat together.
Adult beverages and plentiful appetizers will be served at the meet and greet. You’re welcome to bring something to contribute potluck-style if you’d like! Please RSVP by Wednesday night, June 7 if you can, although anyone is welcome to attend.
