On-Site Film Screening: “Baltic Truth”

February 16, 2023 @ 6:30 PM

Narrated by award-winning Israeli performer and son of Holocaust Survivors Dudu Fisher, “Baltic Truth” exposes key facts of the first months of World War II in the Baltic States and how almost the entire Jewish community of the occupied Baltic Nations was eliminated via “Holocaust by Bullets” with assistance from the local population. “Baltic Truth” reveals how some national heroes involved in Holocaust crimes are still being celebrated to this day and reflects upon the need for accuracy in Holocaust history.

The film screening will be followed by remarks from Eugene J. Levin, Director, and a discussion with Dudu Fisher, renowned artist of film, television, stage, and song; and Kelley Szany, Senior Vice President of Education & Exhibitions at Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center. The conversation will be moderated by Richard Salomon, Vice President of Illinois Holocaust Museum Board of Directors.
