Repair the World Chicago Acts of Loving Kindness Month

Join Chicago Repair in spreading Acts of Loving Kindness every day this July! The Jewish concept of gemilut hasadim translates into “acts of loving-kindness” and tells us that service should be a reciprocal interaction among neighbors, not a singular, selfless act. Each week starting Sunday, July 2 we will have a different focus including education justice, food justice, housing justice, and partnership. You will be given the resources to independently engage in daily acts of service and mutual aid that fall under the weekly themes to complete on your own for about 15 minutes per day. We’ll also have two Zoom sessions to learn and reflect about the project. Our opening session will be on Thursday, July 6 from 5:30-6:30 PM and the program closing session will be on Monday, July 31 from 5:30-6:30 PM.
