Describe your career as a Jewish Professional…
Most of my professional life I have been a professional Jew.  I was the Director of Academic Affairs for the Israeli Consulate to the Midwest, I taught English as a Second Language in a Tel Aviv High School, I was the Events Manager for the Midwest for Jewish National Fund, I worked for the American Friends of the Israel Sports Center for Disabled, I was a JBaby Parent ambassador, Events manager for the Board of Jewish Education in Chicago.  I left the Jewish world for a couple of years, taking a position as the Member Relations Director at Ravinia Green Country Club but am back where I belong at Schechter.  This job is really a combination of all my life and work experiences in one place and it just fits!
What do you do for fun?
Work out at Orangetheory Fitness! I love a good drink and just spending time with great friends and family.  Love my weekly Mahjongg game with my girls and anytime I can have dinner or brunch with friends.

What is your favorite hidden gem in Chicago?
My kids and I love going to the Grove to walk around in nature and we love the Botanic Gardens.
What is your favorite Jewish Chicago Event?
When I was younger, I liked the YLD Big Event because I got to see everyone in one place.  I also never missed a Matzo Ball on Christmas.  Now, I love anything at my kids School. Schechter really makes all holidays and life cycles really special.
What is your favorite way to spend shabbat?
In the summer, going to my parents house to swim with the kids after camp and then shabbat dinner with our whole extended family there.  Other times of the year, anywhere with my family!  We try to rotate houses each week.  I just love sitting with a glass of wine enjoying my family every Shabbat.

Spending a weekend with my BFF back in Chicago like we did when we were single and living together.  She now lives in Israel with her husband and two kids and I am in the burbs.
Where are the best brunch spots in the suburbs for moms on the move like you?
With kids – Butterfields is nice and Eggsperience in the Glen.
Without kids – Anywhere that has cocktails that I can have a great time with my girls. I like Prairie Grass and Hampton Social.  A good Bloody is the key.
When the Tribe Gathers… When the tribe gathers it is loud, lots of ‘blasts from the past’ and always a good time!
